We show our accounts and maybe even the accounting.

We dont have full control. January through August is so and so… We have cash. Since August we have been in the red. This year will be a little odd looking. Making 52K About 90K Expenses Hackeriet - 15K NOK cash on account Nettlauget - 105K NOK cash on account

Rent 58K,- Since august. OPC rent not touched in years.

Looking into budget. Discussions about membership payments.

Membership onboarding

Discussion about the progress here. There was a workshop.

Result of the discussion on Signal in September: Everyone who signs up for membership in Hackeriet and pays is a member, thereby upholding the bylaws. Once a person is a member, they can apply for a key / access to the space through a separate registration form. The board then decides whether to grant a key or not. If a key is granted, we can base the process around Proposal 1 from the onboarding document, see: https://wiki.hackeriet.no/styret/onboarding

Practice: Thanks to 404, onboarding to Hackeriet’s various services has generally become much easier now with Hacker-ID.

To implement this in practice, I suggest setting up something like OpnForm on Hackeriet’s infrastructure. This would avoid requiring members to submit personal information to Google or Microsoft Forms, which aligns with Hackeriet’s principles. In addition, we could have proper ACL management for the board if we implement Hacker-ID. This was something I had planned to do, but I haven’t yet found the time.

Sauna cleanup project status

The room is cleaned. Hoping to put concrete on the floor today to flatten it out. Maybe some extra finish. Need to cleanup the walls. Discussions of walls for darkroom. Soon done. Couple days to finish the floor. Needs to harden.

We will keep the room. Rent will start running. Think 800NOK.

Ventilation is required. Some plans that involve chemicals.

Room name suggestions; Sauna-room. Terje-room casual name.

If someone comes over some equipment that will work in that room, like table saw, laser cutter, etc, beware. CNC.

Nettlaug status

Nettlaug The most relevant info is that for the part half years has replaced network router and segregated the network better. A few refurbishments done in Haus. HackerID implemented. Early in the year we discussed rebuilding the server room.

Discussion about fixing the server room so we can close the door.

Dream to replace pitswith, the core switch. Single point of success.

The heat is an issue, as always. It would be nice to be able to close the door. Any way to increase the ventilation? Discussion. Unsure of the options.

Radical suggestion to move server room into the sauna room and switch rooms.

Cleanliness and tidyness issues

This is always an agendapoint at a hackerspace…

  • Clean desk policy?
  • Space/storage guidelines for physically large/temporally long (but temporary) projects

Robot vacuum cleaner - please take care of it. New brush set should be done. Random things on the floor is an issue. We have a routine of stuff to do when leaving the space. Food left out.

Take care of your stuff yourself.

The top shelf is the Lost and Found.

Can't bring stuff for grabs.

Put name on stuff.

Boxes Need to have a membership list to know who is whos. Recommend Smartstore 14L box, herman sais.

Batteries Need a strategy for them. Li-Ion batteries are scarry. Sand is a suggestion.

Temp storage should be informed better.

Thursday is BSides

Afterparty on Thursday. 60L beers. Sponsored. Morten need help. Plan to clean out same night.

Tidy

After the membership meeting I suggest we all spend 10-15 minutes on short-term quick win tidying, organizing and tidying our space. When we are a lot of people this will have a dramatic effect.
