Hackeriet membership
Hackeriet is a member-owned non-profit association. The association exists to provide a space where people can explore technology, create, learn and collaborate.
Membership is defined by the bylaws.
Becoming a member
As stated in the bylaws:
“Alle som støtter foreningens formål og betaler medlemskontingent kan være medlem.”
Anyone who supports the purpose of the association and pays the membership dues can be a member.
Membership is established by paying the membership dues.
Membership dues
Running an organisation like this in Oslo requires stable funding. Membership dues are the primary source of income.
- Regular members: 250 kr monthly
- Students / low income: 150 kr monthly
- Sponsorship membership: as much as you wish (suggested 500 kr/month)
Pay by bank transfer to account number 1254.05.75124 and mark the transaction with your name.
Supporting membership is for those who wish to contribute financially. Invoices can be provided upon request. Contact finance - AT - hackeriet.no.
What membership gives
Membership gives you:
- Voting rights at the general assembly, as defined in the bylaws (Vedtekter)
- The ability to stand for election to roles in the association
- The ability to participate in membership meetings
- The ability to contribute to and organize activities within the association
Hackeriet is a member-driven organisation. Activity is created by members.
Visiting Hackeriet
You do not need to be a member to visit Hackeriet.
We have open days (typically Tuesdays and Saturdays) where anyone can drop by.
Access
Membership does not automatically grant physical or logical access to the space.
Access is handled separately and is administered by the board.
Members may apply for access.

What your membership fee is used for
Hackeriet exists to pool resources, share knowledge, and maintain a physical space.
Membership fees are used to:
- Pay rent
- Cover electricity and internet
- Maintain the space
- Purchase shared equipment
- Support workshops and activities
Getting involved
Hackeriet depends on active members.
You can contribute by:
- Using the space
- Starting projects
- Hosting talks or workshops
- Organizing events
- Helping maintain and improve the space
The more you contribute, the more you shape the space.
