There is an idea to create something aesthetically pleasing to put on the congress table as a showpiece.

This page is regarding the idea named “Table top”.

The current idea works with the following basis:

• We want something easily transportable, possible airtravel luggage compliant
• We must be flexible with what is available at the space we get assigned
• We must let the table be usable as a table
• We do not want to block view and sight lines
• We should avoid a solution that would be annoying if adopted universally at the event. (aka, If everyone did it, would it be annoying? Then we must not do it.)

So far there is an idea for the structure, beautifying it will come naturally. This is based on a classic tent. The fiberglass/carbon fiber poles can be purchased at arbitrary length and different dimensions. In a tent there is some strength and support offered by the fabric, we will find a way to implement this.

LED strips, defusing, etc is natural to think.

There will be an obvious weight limit on hanging stuff from it, such is physics.
